The Detroit Post and Sault Ste. Marie Posts, Society of American Military Engineers, 2009 Regional Conference Committee is pleased to announce that the 2009 Great Lakes & Ohio River Regional Conference is being held in Detroit, MI from August 11-13, 2009 at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center.

The theme of the conference is "Building Beyond Tomorrow", and includes several tracks that cover alternative energy sources, environmentally sustainable construction and national security.

Registration Options:

Full Conference Registration – Non-Government Employee $350
Full Conference Registration – Government Employee $300

One Day Registration – August 12, Tuesday $200
One Day Registration – August 13, Wednesday $150

2009 SAME Great Lakes & Ohio Valley Regional Conference Ice Breaker
Date: August 11, 2009
Time: 5 pm to 8 pm
Location: Ontario East and West (3rd floor Marriot at the Detroit Renaissance
Center)

The theme for this year's icebreaker is "Casino Night." All registrants and guest of the 2009 Regional Conference are welcomed to attend a night full of fun, food and games. We will be recognizing the winners from the benefit golf tournament held earlier in the day and then transitioning to a casual evening of casino games that include Black Jack, Craps, Roulette and Let it Ride. Heavy appetizers will be provided with the following ethnic themes found through out the Metro Detroit area: Mexican American, Polish American, Greek American, and Traditional American.

Prizes will be provided for those with money remaining at the end of the event!

You will surely regret missing this fun function kicking off the 2009 SAME Great lakes and Ohio Valley Regional Conference!
